Uganda Economics Association’s second Forum on the 2015/16 National Budget
The Uganda Economics Association (UEA) held its second National forum on the recently read 2015/16 National Budget for Uganda. The debate was on the theme, “Macroeconomic implications of a 24 Trillion Budget”. On Tuesday June 16, 2015 at Imperial Royale Hotel, a team of panelists ranging from political scientists, entrepreneurs, academics, policy practioners and financial experts gathered to motivate the debate. The fora was a mix of development partners, planners, economists and well-wishers who made substantive inputs to the discussions.
The debate was officially closed by the chairperson finance committee in parliament requesting the UEA to present a pre-budget discussion for input prior to the passing of the budget.
