New Project to Improve Health Policy and Systems Research Launched

The EU funded project- Supporting Policy Engagement for Evidence Based Decisions  for universal coverage was launched by the EU Ambassador in Uganda, Mr. Kristian Schmidt.

The project aims at strengthening capacity for policy analysis, influence and contribution to acceleration of progress towards universal Health coverage in Uganda.

The five year project shall be implemented by a consortium comprising of four Uganda Intituions-EPRC,MaKSPH, NPA, UNHCO. Other partners are ITM-Belgium and HCRC-South Africa.

Speaking at the launch of the project, Schmidt called for careful economic and policy research before the government of Uganda commences exporting medical professionals to other countries.
