EPRC Represented at the annual AERC Senior Policy Seminar XVII Maputo, Mozambique
Senior policy makers from across Africa congregated in Maputo, Mozambique, on 26/27 March, 2015 to debate one of Africa’s most topical subject’s today-Agriculture in Africa?s Transformation: The Role of Smallholder Farmers. The two days of intense deliberations during the seventeenth Senior Policy Seminar (SPS XVI I) convened by the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC)mainly focused on Policy.
The seminar discussed the evidence and approaches that drive policy change in support of smallholder agriculture in Africa. The Econonic Policy Research Centre was represented by Ms.Gemma Ahaibwe, Participants in this seminar were drawn from the highest levels of government, including the presidency, ministers, governors of central banks, heads of civil services, permanent secretaries and heads of government agencies and parastatals.
