Professor Winston Tumps Ireeta, the Makerere University Deputy Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (DVCFA), has been appointed as a member of the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) Board.
Prof Ireeta’s appointment fills the vacancy left by Professor Henry Alinaitwe. Prof Ireeta was officially welcomed to the Board on April 17, 2025, during the 11th EPRC Annual General Meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MOFPED) and was attended by the Minister of Finance, Hon. Matia Kasaija.
Mr. Ramathan Ggoobi, the EPRC Board Chairperson and the Secretary to the Treasury, expressed his gratitude to Professor Alinaitwe for his service to the EPRC. He then welcomed Prof Ireeta, stating that the Centre stands to gain significantly from his extensive experience and knowledge. Ireeta is Professor in the Physics Department at Makerere University.
