Economic Policy Research Centre is in the process of disposing of some items in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act and Regulations on Disposal. The Centre now invites bidders to participate in a public auction scheduled to take place on April 12, 2019 starting at 10:00 am.
Items to be disposed of include;
Category 1- Three vehicles including a Nissan patrol, Mitsubishi colt pick up and Nissan hard body pick up.
Category 2- ICT Equipment including laptops, desktops, computer sets, printers, a scanner, and a used inverter
Category 3- Office equipment including fans, lawn mower
Category 4- office furniture including an office chair and a conference metallic chair
Assets will be sold on an “AS IS, WHERE IS “basis to the highest bidder and EPRC will have no further liability after the assets are sold.
All interested bidders are required to pay a non-refundable fee of UGX 10,000 for participation on the day of the auction.
Successful bidders shall be required to pay not less than 50% of the value of the asset on the day of the auction and the remaining percentage within 5 working days from the date of the award
Payments for all purchases are to be made in Uganda shillings through direct deposit to the given bank accounts.
The Bidders shall then submit Bank deposit slips to the auctioneer where they will be issued with EPRC receipt as a confirmation of receipt of the funds to the EPRC account. The auctioneer reserves the right to sale the asset to any other bidder in case any bidder fails to deposit the 50% of the bid price for all assets on the auction day.
Interested bidders are required to come to the Economic Policy Research Centre in Makerere University from April 4th to 10th 2019 between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm to inspect the assets to be auctioned.
