Leaders of different think tanks listen to Anthony Boateng during the Think Tank Initiative meeting held at EPRC
The Think Tank Initiative (TTI) held its meeting called “Strategic Costing Capacity Development Support for Think Tank Sustainability in Africa” at the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) hall from June 26-28, 2018.
The closed-door workshop involved collective learning amongst officials from the Think Tank Initiative (TTI) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) as well as heads of various think tanks supported by TTI.
Anthony Boateng, a business strategist who doubles as a lead consultant in the action learning process to address sustainability challenges faced by think tanks in Africa, facilitated the meeting.
The meeting was aimed at enabling think tanks address sustainability challenges and comes at the time when African think tanks are confronted by rapid changes in the funding landscape.
Participants learnt effective business models, emerging costing concepts, financial management and picked hints on donor perspectives about funding challenges.
