3 EPRC Researchers selected for the 2020 STAAARS+ Fellowship Program

Three EPRC research associates namely Mr. Nathan Sunday, Ms. Blessing Atwine and Ms.Rehema Kahunde, have been selected for the 2020 Structural Transformation of African and Asian Agriculture and Rural Spaces (STAAARS) plus fellowship programThis is in response to a submitted proposal titled “Enhancing Climate Change Resilience among households in Uganda: What matters?” 

 .

According to a communication from Liz Bageant, the manager Applied Research and Outreach, Cornell University in the USA, the trio has selected to participate in the 2020 STAAARS+ Fellowship Program with support from the Michigan State University Innovation Lab for Food Security Policy Research, Capacity and Influence (PRCI).

This followed an extensively review of their application materials and accordingly, matched them with Dr. Soji Adelaja as their mentor and Dr. Justin Kappiaruparampil as a co-mentor.

The STAAARS+ Fellowship Program is supervised by Professor Chris Barrett, and managed by Liz Bageant and Kaitlyn Percey. Professor David Tschirley is the director of the PRCI Program within which STAAARS+ resides.
