Christine Arwata Alum (PhD)

Dr. Christine Arwata Alum is a Volunteer Research Associate at the Economic Policy Research Centre in the Sectoral Department. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the Justus-Liebig University, Giessen, Germany. She has a Masters in Agribusiness Management and BSc. in Agricultural Land use and Management from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

Prior to joining EPRC, she worked as an independent consultant and a fellow with the Africa Women Leaders in Agroecology (AWOLA). She has also previously worked with national and international developmental organizations where she provided support to livelihood, Food and Nutrition Security projects.

Her research interests are Agriculture-nutrition linkages, Farming Systems, Agroecology, Climate Change, Governance, Gender, Food and Nutrition Security and Rural Development.
