Assessment Of the FY 2023/24 Agro-Industrialization Budget Towards Provision of Agricultural Extension in Uganda
Uganda has since 2010 aspired to transform its subsistence economy into an industrial middle-income country by 2030. This transformation is hinged on the agriculture sector due to its dominance as a source of livelihood (it employs about 68.1 percent of Uganda’s population), contribution to GDP (24%) and contribution approximately 50 percent to exports revenue.
