The Ugandan Economy Today Quarter 2 October-December 2021

In the Karamoja sub-region, it was a harvest season, but the poor climatic conditions during the cropping season led to below-average harvests, hence low food availability. Regarding wholesale prices in Kampala, there was a general increase in maize and rice prices. The value of cross border trade reduced in the quarter under review compared to the previous quarter.
