Dr. Phionah Namuliira is a Research Fellow at the Economic Policy Research Centre under the microeconomics department with experience in quantitative analysis, development research and policy analysis. She holds a PhD in Economics and an MA in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as well as a Bachelor of Statistics degree from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
She has undertaken research projects at coordination, supervisory and analysis levels supported by the UK’s Department for International Development, the World Bank, Geneva Global, and the Ministry of Education and Sports aimed at promoting girls’ education & transition and women’s economic empowerment. Her areas of research interest include but are not limited to development economics (Health, Education, Employment, Agriculture, Poverty & welfare), gender and behavioural economics.
