Joab Wamani is a Research Associate in the Macroeconomics Department at the Economic Policy Research Centre, Uganda. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Education (Economics) and he is currently waiting to defend his Thesis for a Master’s of Arts in Economics of Makerere University.

Joab served as a Graduate intern at EPRC and is a 2022 Alumni of the African Research Consortium (AERC)- a collaborative Master’s Programme, Joint facility for Electives. His areas of research interests include Macroeconomics, Development economics and Trade, particularly in the areas of Financial sector development, Monetary economics, Trade, public finance, Sustainable and inclusive growth, and Human capital development.
