Overview
The EPRC was established in 1993 in a period of far-reaching donor-supported economic reforms in Uganda. It was designed to fill fundamental voids in economics research, policy analysis, and capacity building for effective in-country contributions to Uganda’s policy processes. In this context, the EPRC was created to provide analytical backstopping for policy dialogue, formulation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
