FAO: In-depth study on child labour in the livestock sector among pastoral communities: A case study of Karamoja sub-region in North Eastern Uganda
There is limited evidence on the status of children working in the agriculture and more especially livestock in Uganda in terms of preference, extent, causes, and effected in the context of pastoral communities.
- The study seeks to understand the situational analysis of the children working in the livestock sector with the focus on pastoral communities in Karamoja sub-region. The analysis will provide insights on prevalence, extent, causes and effect of child labour.
- Identify the policy gaps, if any, and
- Provide feasible recommendations on possible effective interventions for prevention, and protection measures on child labour at both policy and service delivery levels.
