Japan Government releases US$10m for South Sudanese refugees and Ugandan host communities in Northern Uganda
JOINT PRESS RELEASE
The Government of Japan has contributed US$10 million (approximately 35.9 billion Uganda shillings) to UNHCR (US$4 million), UNICEF (US$3 million), and WFP (US$3 million) to support the emergency response to South Sudanese refugees and host communities in Northern Uganda.

It is a few minutes after nine o’clock and the children of Mirambo integrated Early Childhood Development Centre (iECD) are all in class for morning lessons. In the middle class, for those aged 4 to 5 years, it is time for the mathematics lesson, one led by children themselves. The session is very participatory and the children are learning through songs.
