The Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) is unveiling its new brand identity and celebrating this major milestone today. The rebranding aims to reposition EPRC as a Go-To Policy Think Tank within the wider East African region. To mark the adoption of a new brand identity, EPRC has organized a high profile event today Thursday July 30, 2015 to unveil and share with its partners the new corporate brand that explains “who we are”, “what we stand for” and “where we are heading”. The event takes place at Kampala, Serena Hotel starting at 3:30pm. As part of the event, EPRC will also launch its re-developed website: www.eprcug.org
EPRC is an autonomous not-for-profit organization limited by guarantee that was established in 1993 with the mandate to conduct policy oriented research and analysis. EPRC’s mission is to foster sustainable growth and development of the Ugandan economy by advancing the role of research in policy processes. The Centre’s current Medium Term Strategic Plan runs from 2013/14 to 2016/17. Through this Plan, the Centre aims to consolidate the achievements gained in the provision of influential and relevant policy research products and services, broaden its scope and reposition itself to respond to emerging development challenges in Uganda and beyond through timely evidence-based research. Through the re-branding, the Centre aims to capitalize on its national expertise to up-scale its research and policy influence activities within the East African region.
As it re-brands, the Centre stands ready to empower its stakeholders with more evidence based knowledge and policy engagement.
